Gurmukhi

The Gurmukhi script is a writing system used to write the Punjabi language. It is an abugida, which means that each consonant has an inherent vowel sound and other vowels are indicated by diacritical marks. The Gurmukhi script is part of the Unicode standard, which is a standardized character encoding system that allows computers to store and display text in a wide variety of scripts and languages. The Gurmukhi script was developed from the Landa script and is named after Guru Angad, the second Sikh Guru. It is used mainly by Sikhs and Punjabi Hindus.
